I just installed Windows 7 x64 and after that the first problem already showed up. Windows 7 can´t set the right resolution for my monitor. Even after re/installing latest Nvidea drivers and monitor drivers.
I can´t get it beyond 1280 x 800 in Digital modes. Also in anologe mode it´s not working. The biggest I can get is pushing the desktop out off limits.
There are two places where you can set your resolution.
1. Right-click on your desktop, and select screen resolution (quickest way) 2. Through your nvidia control panel
If your preferred resolution isn't listed, try to find if you can set an aspect ratio, for you monitor 16:10 is best, so you can choose 1680x1050 (WSXGA+). Maybe it unlocks some extra (higher) resolutions.
Strange m8,I have the same monitor on 64/win7 and no probs. The only thing we did was check list all modes and selected my best rez(1680x1050 digital. In rez list mode i have it set to (32 bit true colour 60Hertz).I know you have tried most stuff m8 but that is my spec to my 8800 gfx.Which i know you have 1 of them aswell :S,Strange m8 strange.
