Im running a amd phenom 2 955 quad core cpu, and whilst playing Bc2, my temps rocket up to 59c, sometimes more or sometimes less. Is this something to worry about, cause i read the mac temps of the cpu is 62c.
Hi m8,Firstly its a highend cpu usage on dual core i get upto 60 degrees,Your running quad and its at 60,Something tells me all is ok,BTW my heatsink has the zalman with 120 mm fan,I think your ok at 60 oh and my mobo stays around 30 when i play "all in all i think its ok" and im only dual 3.0ghz E8400
hmmmm, i have quad core q9400 @ 3.0 ghz and my cpu rarely goes over 35 degrees but i have larhe heatsink and also alot of fans in the case, come off battlefield last night and my card had got upto 64 degrees (HD5870 Vapor X) and my Cpu was at 34 highest but it usually idles at 27. hope this info helps.not sure it will all i could suggest is google your cpu and see what other people are getting and see whats acceptable tolerances.
I already replied to exile through xfire, but 60 degrees is nothing to be worried about... Things change when the temperature reaches 80 or higher under load. If your temp idle is 60 you should think about cablemanagement (is it done right?) or maybe it's time to change the thermal paste or clean your CPU cooler + fan (dust).
Coretemp also shows a tjmax, as long as you keep your temps lower than that you're safe
